Environmental Studies and Sustainability
Our programs in Environmental Studies and Sustainability offer an opportunity to help build a truly sustainable and just society. Working together, students and faculty explore topics such as healthy environments, conservation, renewable energy, environmental education, local economies, environmental justice, green building, deep ecology, environmental policy and many others.
Whether you are an environmental activist, a teacher, an urban planner, a consultant, a scientist or a business leader, Antioch University offers a variety of options to help you understand environmental and social problems, and gives you the tools to design and implement creative solutions. Join a diverse community of educators, managers, scientists, communicators, policy makers, writers, and activists—each with a unique professional and scholarly perspective. Select from undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degree offerings, as well as certificate programs.
Antioch University has a long-standing, deeply-rooted commitment to promoting various forms of justice in our community. The consequences of climate change and unsustainable communities will fall largely to the most disadvantaged and disenfranchised citizens and will exacerbate pre-existing imbalances of social and economic well-being.
