Requirements

The Antioch in Germany program serves both Antioch University (AU) students and undergraduate students from any college or university in the United States. Students in good academic standing with their home institutions may apply.

Language Requirement: A minimum of intermediate-level German language competency is strongly recommended. Students must demonstrate their German language proficiency through courses listed on their transcript, an explanation in their Goals Statement, and/or a letter from a German professor/teacher/tutor. Contact Kelly Brannan Trail (ktrail@antioch.edu) with any questions regarding this requirement.

Deadlines

  • Fall Semester Program (August – February) – March 15
  • Full Year Program (July – July) – March 15
  • Spring Semester Program (February – July) – October 15

We strongly encourage students to visit their study abroad office on their home campus as soon as possible as they may have earlier deadlines.

Late applicants will be considered on a space-available basis. Contact AEA if you plan to apply after the deadline.

Passports

Students who need to obtain or renew their passports should apply as soon as possible using the expedited option due to major delays at U.S. passport processing centers. (You will need to renew your passport if it is not valid for at least 6 months past the end of the program).
