Accommodations and Meals
For the first 2-3 weeks in Kankan,
students are initially housed in a large home, two students per bedroom, for the period of group residency.
During the two 8-9 week homestay periods, each student stays with a local family, typically the family of their arts mentor. Rooms may be singles or shared with a member(s) of the family.
During the 1-2 weeks of travel within the Mande region, the group stays in small hotels, guest houses, and designated camping areas.
Throughout the program, Mande meals or a per diem are provided to students.
Please contact us with any questions you might have on program accommodations.
