Coursework Abroad
Throughout the program, students complete at least 24 semester credits (or 36 quarter credits) through studies abroad. The study abroad course work will support the overall concentration of a student’s degree plan.
Students may choose to enroll in any of AEA’s semester long programs in Asia, Africa, South America, or Europe:
Antioch in Germany
Arts and Culture in Mali
Brazilian Ecosystems
Buddhist Studies in India
Community Development in Cameroon
Comparative Women’s and Gender Studies in Europe
Culture and Language in Argentina
Europe and Islam
Japan and its Buddhist Traditions
Students may also choose to directly enroll into one of AEA’s partner universities abroad. Our partner universities either offer courses in English, or in some cases, a language immersion program to improve your foreign language skills.
Examples of AEA partner universities abroad include:
- Universidad FASTA in Bariloche, Argentina
- Ryukoku University in Kyoto, Japan
- University of Copenhagen in Denmark
- University of Tübingen in Germany
- Curtin University in Australia
Coursework in Residence
Students will complete two or more quarters of coursework in residence at Antioch University Seattle (AUS). Choosing from the wide range of academic undergraduate course offerings, which may include the environment, global issues, or spiritual studies, among others. See the AUS website for current course offerings (note that each year specific course offerings may change).
Students’ individualized academic plan will build upon their combined work experience during their internship, and international education through AEA, creating a strong foundation for their future professional career.
