Curriculum
The Buddhist Studies in India curriculum consists of three components:
Students choose from the following three classes, which will be taught by Antioch faculty with guest lectures given by monks from local temples:
- PHIL 318 Buddhist Philosophy
- ANTH 330 Contemporary Buddhist Culture
- HIST 320 History of South Asian Buddhism

Credit and Evaluation
Students may earn twelve to sixteen semester credits from Antioch University for successful completion of the program. Students should take at least one core course, Buddhist Meditation Traditions, and Independent Study. A second core course or language may be added in order to earn a maximum of sixteen credits. Evaluations are given in written and/or letter grade form, as required by the student’s home institution.
