Agborbechem Peter Tambi
Professor of Education, University of Buea

PhD in Test and Measurement, University of Calabar, Nigeria; MEd in Curriculum Studies and Teaching, University of Calabar
Professor Tambi has taught in the Education Faculty at the University of Buea since 2003. He is the author and co-author of numerous articles and chapters on educational issues, including assessment, environmental changes, and parents’ perceptions. His current research interests focus on the education crisis in Cameroon and assessment. For three years, he has served as a member of the Cameroon delegation to the conferences of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa. In addition, Professor Tambi has been actively involved in the potable water project in his home village of Mamfe.
Professor Tambi leads the Seminar, and is the main point of contact for students during the program.
Additional faculty at UB will be teaching program courses. UB has a highly qualified and diversified staff serving a student body of 12,000.

Kelly co-teaches the Core Seminar, Community Development in Cameroon, and leads an extensive on-site orientation for students in Buea.
Student Peer Counselor
Each year, a student peer counselor – a student at the University of Buea – is selected. This student is available to discuss aspects of academic life at UB, as well as assist students with acclimating to life in Buea (eg, shopping, finding a store, etc.). The Student Peer Counselor accompanies the group on most field trips and occasionally joins students for a meal.
