Costs
The tuition and program fees for the 2012 semester program are as follows:
- Total Tuition: $10,438 (16 credits)
- Transportation Internationally and Transportation in Europe: $2,600
- Room and Board: $6,010
The program fees cover:
- Round-trip airfare from a U.S. departure city
- All program-related transportation within Europe
- Tuition
- Room & board (includes homestays)
- Reading materials (some books must be purchased)
- International student I.D. card (includes basic insurance)
- Administrative services of Antioch Education Abroad
This does not include spending money. An estimate of $60 to $70 per week (at least $800 total) is adequate for most people for personal expenses. Also, personal spending for hygiene, dietary choices, entertainment and gifts vary greatly. Students should consider their spending habits as well as plans for additional travel when budgeting for the program. In addition, students are responsible for their own travel to the point of U.S. departure.
Financial Aid, Scholarships, and Grants
Visit the AEA Scholarships and Financial Aid page for information on how your aid may apply to our study abroad programs, as well as resources for scholarships and grants towards study abroad.
In addition to our NEW Irwin Abrams & Paula L. Spier Study Abroad Scholarship, outside scholarships can be of great help. We strongly recommend that students begin the scholarship and grant application process as early as possible, as these deadlines may differ considerably from AEA deadlines.
Each year, AEA staff work with students and, in many cases, their home institutions to ensure that the opportunity to study abroad is accessible, and affordable. AEA Asst. Directors are happy to advise students about scholarships and grants towards study abroad.
