Curriculum
Globalization and Community Responses in Argentina
This program is offered in collaboration with the Universidad Fraternidad de Agrupaciones Santo Tomas de Aquino (FASTA) in Bariloche. Together, AEA and faculty from FASTA co-designed the Core Seminar, which is the lead course for the program. A Spanish Language pre-semester intensive, and semester-long tutorial is integral to the curriculum. In addition, students will select two course electives from the regular semester offerings of FASTA that support the themes of the Core Seminar and Service Learning project. All courses will be conducted in Spanish.

Core Seminar – (Required)
- Impacts of Globalization and Community Responses in Patagonia (4 semester credits)
Service Learning- (Required)
- An individually arranged service learning project is an integral component of the Core Seminar
Semester Courses
- Two elective courses from FASTA’s semester course offerings that complement the Core Seminar curriculum and Service Learning projects (3 semester credits each)
Spanish Language
- Pre-semester intensive Spanish language course (3 semester credits)
- Semester-long Spanish language Tutorial (3 semester credits)
Credits
Upon completion of the program, students earn up to 16 semester credits awarded by Antioch University. They will be issued a transcript with a letter grade from Antioch University, along with narrative evaluations for the Core Seminar and Spanish Language courses.
