Antioch Education Abroad  Support  Health & Safety  Medical Disclosure

Medical Disclosure

We rely on students to report any medical/health conditions that may affect their participation in our programs. Medical disclosure is extremely important in allowing our onsite faculty and staff to prepare for students’ successful participation in our study abroad programs. In addition to any current medical/health conditions, we also ask students to report any prior conditions, which occasionally return under the stress of living in a new environment, adapting to different foods, etc.

Medical conditions that program staff must be aware of should be reported prior to departure giving AEA the tools we need to accommodate each student’s unique needs. Following acceptance to an AEA program, students will receive a Health Form on which they should report all pertinent health conditions.

In addition, we strongly encourage students to discuss their plans to study abroad with their health care provider, and follow any given recommendations and/or necessary medications. For more information, please see the Health and Safety abroad overview.
