Antioch Education Abroad
Why Choose Antioch Education Abroad?
Since 1956, AEA has offered globally engaged, field-based study abroad to students from across the country. Our programs combine cross-cultural immersion and rigorous coursework with intensive forms of experiential learning—independent field research projects, service learning, or arts apprenticeships—embedded within local communities abroad in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. In 2014, 35% of all students participating in AEA programs came from the top 25 Liberal Arts Colleges, or National Universities in the U.S., as ranked by U.S. News and World Report. For a complete listing of colleges and universities that send students on AEA programs, click here.
In an effort to make study abroad opportunities more accessible, AEA founded the Irwin Abrams and Paula L. Spier Study Abroad Scholarship in 2012-13, named in honor of two of our co-founders. For more information, click here.
