Academic Technology HomeBuilding Academic Technology Capacity at Antioch University
The primary purpose of the Academic Technology Team is to build academic technology capacity to improve teaching and learning at Antioch University. Essentially, that means we work with the infrastructure to create and support a viable academic systems ecology. We work with each campus, and especially faculty, to foster the knowledge, skills, and understanding critical to using these systems to achieve institutional and instructional goals. Our focal systems are Sakai, the open source Learning Management platform that supports courses and other learning experiences in the online realm, and the emerging Antioch University portal. However, we are directly involved with other major dimensions of Antioch's software infrastructure such as the Adobe Connect web conferencing application, online Institutional Review Board interface, and we also research to fine tune the enterprise data that is utilized to feed these systems with essential information to empower students and faculty technologically.
