Schoolcamps
Glen Helen Schoolcamp is a residential environmental education program with a curriculum that encompasses mostly Life and Physical Science, but also Social Studies, Math, and Language Arts learning objectives. The curriculum is aligned with Ohio Academic Content Standards to support and complement your classroom instruction. At Glen Helen, students learn through hands-on, inquiry-based, constructivist methods that can best be accomplished in an outdoor setting. Each school that visits our center works with us to design the best program to ensure that classroom learning objectives are central to the experiential lessons we provide in our 1,000-acre outdoor classroom. Glen Helen resident Naturalists facilitate instruction with the students, while teachers are in charge of dorm time and medications.
