About Our Naturalists
Our Naturalist interns are the face of Glen Helen. These are the people that will be guiding your student through the Glen Helen experience. College-age or older, Naturalists interns are hired for their love and appreciation for nature and their interest and dedication to working with youth. Naturalists lead trail groups of 13 students or less into Glen Helen Nature Preserve for field explorations and to teach about the natural world. Naturalists are first aid and CPR certifited, undergo federal background checks, and participate in three weeks of training prior to your student's arrival.
"My time at Glen Helen has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Getting students interested and excited about nature is crucial to ensuring that our wild places will be protected for future generations. I hope to work as an environmental educator and continue to inspire young minds." Leigh Ann R.
