On May 23-25th alumni, faculty and staff will gather in Yellow Springs, Ohio to celebrate the 30th Reunion of Antioch University’s Buddhist Studies in India program. This unique academic semester provides students with the opportunity to study aspects of Buddhism and practice meditation in Bodh Gaya, India, the most important Buddhist pilgrimage site in the world.

The program was founded in 1979, by Director Robert Pryor, and continues to attract students from colleges and universities all over the country. The guest of honor will be Sayadaw U Nyaneinda, abbot of the Burmese Vihar in Bodh Gaya, who has been hosting the program at his monastery since it began. Other special guests include Sister Molini and Sister Dharmavijaya, two Buddhist nuns who help provide instruction and guidance to the group.

The reunion weekend will be full of exciting events, which are co-hosted by Antioch University and the Yellow Springs Dharma Center. Everyone is welcome to attend the showing of “Amongst White Clouds”, a documentary film produced by Ted Burger, a 1996 alum of the program, at 3 pm on Sunday, May 24th at the Little Art Theatre.
