Dr. Katherine Clarke Named VPAA at Antioch New England

(Keene, NH) – Antioch University New England named Dr. Katherine Clarke as Vice President for Academic Affairs.
“I am pleased that Dr. Clarke will join Antioch New England’s senior leadership team and excited about working with her to move our campus forward in the years ahead,” said ANE president David Caruso. “Katherine has made numerous contributions during the four years she served as chair of the ANE Department of Applied Psychology. She guided significant advances in the department and has been a key member of the campus Finance, Academic Technology, Assessment, and External Relations committees, the department chairs group, and numerous other initiatives.”
Working with the department chairs and ANE’s one hundred and twenty-three faculty members, Katherine will oversee the academic plans and strategies of Antioch New England’s more than twenty graduate programs. Her leadership will be marked by a commitment to excellence in all of ANE’s programs. A particular emphasis will be placed on ensuring that ANE graduates succeed in their chosen fields and are equipped to make a worthwhile contribution to their communities.
Prior to coming to Antioch New England, Katherine most recently served as vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty at Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center in San Francisco. She has also served as vice president for finance and administration and chair of Pastoral Studies at the Weston Jesuit School of Theology, and as director of the University Counseling Center and the Pastoral Counseling Program at Saint Paul University, in Ottawa, Canada. Katherine holds a PhD in counseling psychology from Loyola University of Chicago and an MBA from the Simmons School of Management, in addition to an MA in counseling psychology and BA in psychology from the University of British Columbia. She has done leadership studies at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
