National Expert on Learning and Behavioral Disorders to Speak at AUS

Judith Bluestone, national award-winning expert on identifying and treating the root causes of learning and behavioral disorders, is featured speaker at Antioch Seattle from 6 to 8 p.m. May 14.

Bluestone won the prestigious Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award for outstanding public service for creating and sharing a holistic approach to neurodevelopment and learning efficiency (known as HANDLE). For her free presentation hosted by Antioch Seattle's Center for Programs in Education, she plans to familiarize participants with the concept of neurodevelopment and the role it plays in behavior and academic learning.

She has more than 40 years of clinical and educational experience and is the author of The Fabric of Autism: Weaving the Threads into a Cogent Theory, now in its third printing. The scope of her expertise encompasses how to best address the issues of ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities, Brain Injury, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Tourette's Syndrome, Bipolar Disorder, Oppositional Defiance, Down's Syndrome and more.
