Campus CFO Bios

Dave Houser, M.B.A.
Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance – Antioch University Los Angeles

Dave Houser came to Antioch University Los Angeles as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance in 2009. His responsibilities include development of AULA’s annual operating budget (in collaboration with the Budget Committee, President, and Board of Trustees), planning, accounting, payroll, accounts payable, student accounts, financial reporting and analysis, and other projects for the President and Board.

Prior to coming to Antioch, Dave served as the Senior Associate Dean for Business and Finance at the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at the University of Southern California. He first joined USC as the Executive Director of Administration and Senior Business Officer for the Information Services Division. Previously, he was the Director of Institute Finance at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).

Houser earned his MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management and has a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State.


Darlene Robertson, M.A.

Darlene Robertson has served as chief administrative officer and chief financial officer at Antioch University New Midwest since July 2011. Prior to that she served as Vice President of Student Administrative Services and Interim CFO for five years, Dean of Student Services, Executive Director of Operations, and a few other capacities, including Registrar. She began with AUM in 1995.

Her responsibilities and authority include: supervision of the operating division of finance; human resources; contract negotiations; and business services, including: student accounts, financial aid, physical plant, purchasing, information technology, public safety, auxiliary services, registration, admissions, financial aid and risk management. Darlene works closely with the vice chancellor of finance for Antioch University and CFOs from the other Antioch University campuses, as well as the AUM president, controller, and campus staff and faculty.

Prior to joining Antioch Midwest, Darlene worked as the Vice President of the Convention & Visitors Bureau Division of the Springfield (Ohio) Chamber of Commerce where she was employed for seven years.

Darlene has lived in Ohio all of her life, attended The Ohio State University, transferring to Wright State University and graduating from there Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Psychology. She was a member of the Golden Key and Psi Chi honor societies. She is the single mother of one teenage boy and both reside in Clark County, Ohio.


Timothy Jordan, M.Ed.

Tim Jordan has served as chief administrative officer and chief financial officer at Antioch University New England since 2003. Tim began his tenure at ANE in 1975 when he was hired as business manager. He also earned his master of education in administration and supervision from ANE.

His responsibilities and authority include: supervision of the operating division of finance and accounting; human resources and payroll; contract negotiations; and business services, including: student accounts, financial aid, physical plant, purchasing, information technology, public safety, auxiliary services, and risk management. Tim works closely with the vice chancellor of finance for Antioch University and CFOs from the other Antioch University campuses, as well as the ANE president, controller, and campus staff and faculty.

Prior to joining Antioch New England, Tim worked for Housing and Urban Development as a financial specialist and director of the HUD Conservation and Code Enforcement program in Brattleboro, Vermont. He also completed military service, serving in the Coast Guard as a radioman and in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve as an officer LTJG. Tim is also active in the community and has served on the Monadnock United Way Allocations and Program Review Committee, and the boards of directors of the Keene Family YMCA, Grand Monadnock Arts Council, and Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce.

Tim is a native Vermonter. According to family lore, his great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather was the first Anglo-Saxon baby born in the territory that became Vermont. Tim and his wife Vicky Morton, also an ANE alum, live in Keene.


Deborah (Deb) Caraway

Deb Caraway joined Antioch University in 1969 and is currently serving as Director of Business Operations and University Accounting in the University Systems Office located in Yellow Springs, OH.   In this capacity she manages the offices of student accounts, accounts payable and student loans.   Deb also supervises the accounting operations for Antioch University Midwest, the Antioch University Ph.D Program in Leadership & Change, the Antioch University Education Abroad Program and the University Systems Offices.   Her areas of expertise are in accounting, budget/finance, student accounts, accounts payable, financial aid and Datatel Colleague Financial/Student Systems applications.

Since July 2008, Deb has served as Interim CFO for Antioch University Santa Barbara, and commutes regularly to the Santa Barbara campus.   Her responsibilities and authority at AUSB include supervision of finances as well as budget planning and oversight.   She also served as Interim CFO at Antioch College from March 2007-June 2008.

Deb lives in Springfield, OH, but continues to maintain a strong connection to Yellow Springs.     She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Yellow Springs Federal Credit Union and is a supporter of the local public radio station, 91.3 WYSO.

Membership affiliations and continuing education training include the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Datatel User’s Group, Ohio Bursar’s Association and NACUBO.


Greg Schuler
Executive Director, Finance and Administration

Born in Seattle and living in the Seattle area for nearly his entire life, Greg obtained two BA degrees from the University of Washington: one in Business Administration, graduating with honors; the other, in Japanese Language and Literature. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Before coming to Antioch in 2001, he served the Port of Seattle for 26 years in various financial and administrative capacities, primarily connected with major facilities developments and marketing, both at the Port’s marine operations and at Sea-Tac Airport. He developed and managed the Marine Division operating budgets for two years and developed financial analyses and Commission presentations on major projects. For many years at AUS, Greg’s primary responsibility was development of the campus annual budget and ongoing management of the campus budget. In 2012, Greg was appointed Executive Director, Finance and Administration, and now has overall responsibility for most of the non-academic departments at AUS including accounting, budget/finance, facilities, general administration, and disabled student services. He is a key member of the President’s Team, which establishes the overall strategic direction for the campus.

He has been actively involved in community organizations having served on the boards of the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce and the Belltown Business Association (BBA). For several years, he has served as an officer for the BBA and currently chairs their Board Development Committee. He is a past distinguished president of the West Seattle Kiwanis Club and past distinguished Lt. Governor of the Seattle Kiwanis regional organization. Greg and his wife Sherry live in Bellevue, Washington; they have two sons and 3 grandchildren.
