Mentor Faculty Compensation
The program estimates that mentor faculty are likely to spend approximately 15 hours over the course of a particular learning agreement (an average duration spanning 4-6 months), from initial conversation, through regular communication and substantive feedback, to the final narrative evaluation.
We expect mentor faculty to be accessible to our students and provide timely feedback. A norm would be email response within 72 hours; written feedback on material within two weeks.
Mentors will be paid $1,500 per completed learning area in two installments: half upon the completion of an agreed upon proposal; and half upon completion of the students’ work and completion of the final narrative evaluation. Thus, if a mentor were to oversee both learning agreements (with a signed mentor contract for each one) for a single student’s entire Individualized Learning Plan, they would receive a total of $3,000.
