Dr. Naomi Nightingale spends great deal of her life working to improve life for people who are pushed to the margins of society by power systems in every important aspect of life – housing, education, law enforcement, historical recognition and preservation, and so on. In her professional career as an educator, human resource professional, and change agent, my goal is also to assist people to get to where they want to go professionally while ensuring the policies and practices support both the employee and the employer.

Polly Chandler has served as a facilitator for the Women and Leadership program for three years. Polly is self-employed by her company Polly Chandler Coaching where she serves as a coach, facilitator, and trainer for all sectors. Her specialty areas are strengths-based coaching/training, transition coaching for people starting new positions or recently promoted, and team development. Her entire career has been dedicated to creating energizing learning communities. Prior to her current position, she chaired the Department of Management for Antioch New England.

Kader Gümüş is a Program Director in charge of a large Federal Government IT contract. Kader worked for the US House of Representatives during the 111th, 112th, and 113th congressional terms, where she oversaw Information Technology database projects for Members of Congress. She has worked on three congressional transitions and several special elections in a non-political, non-partisan role for over 35 Members of Congress. Kader graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Master’s degree in Organization Development and Knowledge Management (ODKM) from George Mason University; she has studied European Policy at Oxford University in the UK and is currently finishing her Ph.D. in Leadership and Change at Antioch University. Kader is fluent in German, Turkish, French, Spanish, and English.
In 2019 Kader was appointed to the Fairfax County Council to End Domestic Violence (CEDV) as the Representative to the immigrant community. She is highly engaged in her community for the well-being of families through several non-profit organizations. Her areas of expertise are knowledge management of social issues, data governance, knowledge transparency, power & control disparity in knowledge and data sharing.
