Welcome to the AUSB Writing Center 

The Antioch University Santa Barbara (AUSB) Writing Center provides free writing support, through one-on-one sessions with peer tutors. Talk to a tutor about your writing at any stage, including brainstorming! In the Writing Center, you’ll find no judgment, no grades, no shame — just positive encouragement and helpful support. The Writing Center is not an editing service, but is here to teach you strategies that will help you grow as a writer and develop your writing repertoire (skills, habits, and techniques) over time.

Visits are free and open to current AUSB students. The Writing Center is currently only offering remote sessions via Zoom. We offer scheduled appointments (60 or 90 minutes each), including same-day appointments as time permits.

• How to Sign Up (for first-time visitors)
• When you sign in to the system you will see the Writing Center Schedule for the next seven days with today at the top (you can scroll ahead to see future weeks).
• To make an appointment, click on any open (white) time block when you want your session to begin and fill out the reservation form (it will open in a new window).
• You can reserve any block of time between 30 and 90 minutes, beginning on the hour or the half-hour. Most sessions beyond short questions will require 45-60 minutes.
