Regarding Hate Speech | Chancellor’s Message
As an institute of higher education, it is our responsibility to provide a safe and respectful learning environment in which all students can learn, thrive and grow. Furthermore, our commitment to teaching students the practice of leading positive change is more important now than ever. It is with these commitments in mind that on behalf of Antioch University, I have signed the Presidents’ Message to President-Elect Trump.
As you know, Antioch University’s commitment to inclusion, free thinking, and social justice has been steadfast throughout our 164 year history. For this reason, we joined our college and university colleagues to urge President-elect Trump to “condemn and work to prevent harassment, hate and acts of violence that are being perpetrated across our nation…” We stand proud with this impressive list of colleges and universities demanding swift action.
Thank you for all you do every day to carry on the progressive mission of Antioch University.
