Antioch University CARES Relief Fund
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act was passed by Congress and signed into law to provide economic relief related to COVID-19. The Higher Education Emergency Relief fund (HEERF), one section of the CARES Act, provided funds to schools to use for emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus/program operations related to the pandemic.
The U.S. Department of Education recently provided guidance to colleges and universities for the distribution of these emergency financial aid grants to students, intended to offset the cost of eligible expenses such as food, housing, technology, health care, and child care.
In early August, Antioch University awarded all the CARES Act funds given to us by the federal government. At this point there will be no further awarding of the grants unless the federal government provides additional CARES Act money to colleges and universities or a new program is created to help college students.
We will email all students about any new opportunity with any required application steps if this happens.
