The primary goal of this event is to bring together our counseling program alumni, community partners, and current counseling program faculty/students. This event focuses on increasing connections and sharing information.

Time Schedule

2 pm – 3 pm: Community Agencies & Job Fair

Alumni and community agencies looking to fill positions will meet with current AUS CMHC, CFT, and CAT students and alumni nearing graduation and looking for future employment in the counseling field.

2 pm – 3 pm: AUS PhD program Information Table

An opportunity to obtain updated information and speak with current students about thePhD in Counselor Education and Supervisionprogram.

This doctoral program prepares those interested in positions within academia as counselor educators, for research, or for clinical leadership roles within community, private or governmental agencies or within the counseling profession.

3 pm – 5 pm: Social Justice in Counseling Symposium

5 pm – 7 pm: AUS Counseling Community Mixer

Hosted wine and cheese mixer for alumni, current students, faculty, staff, and community partners from the day.

~ Supporting Immigrant Clients and Families ~

This event is hosted by the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program (CMHC) at Antioch University Seattle (AUS) and is an opportunity for those in the Antioch MA counseling community (students, faculty, and AUS alumni) to come together with community partners (local counseling, social work, and educational agencies, clinicians and supervisors). Faculty from the CMHC program at Antioch, along with local community partners, will comprise the panel and share experiences and best-practices in working with and supporting immigrant families, those who are undocumented, and/or those who would have qualified for protection under the Develo pment, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors act (DREAM) families/individuals in counseling and counseling-related contexts.

The panelists will introduce therapeutic models for individuals and families who may experience cultural or personal barriers to traditional counseling, effective supports and interventions, and partnership with community and outreach. Discussions will include multicultural awareness and culturally sensitive approach in serving this population. The seminar format will provide an opportunity to ask questions of the panel, as well as speak together in a round table/small-group format.

This event is available for 2 CE credits and for those who wish to attend, a Brown Paper Ticket will be required. Admission isFREEwith no CE credits. The cost of (2) CEs is $25 for Antioch Early Bird Discount, and $33 for Antioch Discount.
