Close Reading Workshop

We’re not robots, we’re readers:
A Workshop in close reading with Roderick Crooks, PhD
Reading isn’t just mechanically pulling information from a text; it’s a relationship between you and the text and one well worth exploring.
This workshop will give you TOOLS to create a “READING PRACTICE”, a highly useful way to enhance creative and critical thinking, reading comprehension, scholarly WRITING, and produce dynamic and engaging academic work.
Join Roderick Crooks, PhD, and explore how we interpret what we read, our influences, personal and historical, and why an ethical perspective on reading deepens our knowledge and opens our minds.
Wednesday, February 22, 5:30 to 7pm in the Library
Pizza and Sweets provided
Brought to you by the AULA Library and TLC
