In Bloom: Promising Practices in Nature-Based Early Childhood Education
Antioch University Santa Barbara is once again excited to be partnering with Antioch University New England, the Academy of Forest Kindergarten Teachers, and the Orfalea Family Children’s Center to offer In Bloom in Santa Barbara: Promising Practices in Nature-Based Early Childhood Education. Registration will open in September.
Children stomp in puddles, whittle sticks, paint their faces with charcoal, take care of animals and expand their vocabularies, do real math, conduct investigations and develop resilience in nature-based early childhood programs.
We invite you to join in the dialogue and actively participate in this one-day conference. The conference will feature a morning keynote, an afternoon performance, and workshops by local practitioners. All events will focus on the educational and health benefits of being in the natural world with children.
All early childhood and early elementary parents, teachers, outdoor educators, and administrators with an interest in connecting children to the nearby
natural and built environments are invited.
