Proof of Language Proficiency:
Applicants must achieve a score of at least 600 on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) test. The TWSE (Test of Standard Written English) is also required of applicants. Information on these tests may be obtained in United States embassies, consulates, and at www.toefl.org. Proof of Degree Equivalency
A Master’s degree issued from an institution recognized by an accrediting body that has been approved by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and five years of relevant professional experience are minimum eligibility requirements for admission to the program. The program will accept applications from all interested individuals but would like to be clear that it would be in the most extraordinary situations that an applicant without a master’s degree would be considered for review by the full Admissions Committee of the PhD in Leadership and Change program. If an applicant’s Master’s degree is from an educational institution outside of the United States his/her transcript and degree may need be evaluated for equivalency by a credential evaluation service.The following web sites can be used to find an evaluation service: www.aice-eval.org, or www.naces.org. The expense of this evaluation is the applicant’s responsibility. The Graduate School of Leadership and Change welcomes international applicants. Those applicants are encouraged to explore the variety of visa options available to them in order to attend the three week-long residencies per year held in the United States. The PhD in Leadership and Change cannot offer I-20 certificates of eligibility for international students to attend this low-residency program.
