Alan E. Guskin, PhD
Distinguished University Professor of Higher Education
While a graduate student, Dr. Guskin organized a student group that is widely credited with inspiring John F. Kennedy to establish the Peace Corps. Dr. Guskin served as a Peace Corps Volunteer and then as a senior administrator in the creation of the domestic peace corps, VISTA. In a career that spans 40+ years, Dr. Guskin is probably best known for his leadership roles in higher education where he has served as president and chancellor at several institutions in higher education.
Dr. Guskin holds a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Michigan.
