Job Description and Minimum Qualifications:

The Addiction Studies concentration of the Undergraduate Studies department is looking for a creative and organized self-starter to serve as a remote program assistant. The Program Assistant supports our Addiction Studies and Psychology faculty in the day-to-day office functions of the department, with additional duties supporting remote learning as needed. The work schedule will combine flexible office hours with set hours on Zoom to support meetings and class sessions. Duties will depend on skills and interest, and include: support for UGS faculty and students via email, Sakai, and Zoom; maintenance of program records; light bookkeeping and fiscal paperwork; updating of the department Google site; development of a dynamic remote resource site for students and faculty, and assistance with the addiction studies department’s recruitment and marketing. Preferred qualifications: MS Office and Google suite skills; strong attention to detail; good professional writing skills; organizational ability; willingness to learn Zoom and Sakai at a high enough level to support others, and a friendly and professional demeanor. Social media and design or photography skills are a plus but not a requirement. Training will be provided where needed. Because the Addiction Studies Concentration Program Assistant will work with undergraduate student records, a high degree of discretion and confidentiality is required.
