MANM Joins the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council
The MA in Nonprofit Management program, now in its fifth year, has recently been accepted as a new member of the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council (NACC), an international association for the support and advancement of nonprofit and philanthropic academic programs. “This is a wonderful networking and information-sharing opportunity for the continued advancement of the program. It will benefit students and faculty alike,” said David Norgard, teaching faculty member and chair of the MANM program.
The Council offers curricular guidance and development to members as well as the support of a network of international college and universities with programs in the field. The NACC and encourages and supports faculty research and also has an honors society, Nu Lambda Mu, for graduating seniors and recent graduates. The annual conference provides members with an opportunity to engage in-person with other professionals and to learn about new developments across programs.
“Joining NACC comes at a propitious time for us at AULA, as we assess our past and plan for our future,” Norgard wrote in his introduction letter to be published in the next NACC newsletter. “We are excited to become a part of this broader teaching and learning community and look forward to exchanging ideas with other members.”
