Antioch/Skylight Theater: World AIDS DAY Performance
Antioch UniversityLos Angeles, Colors LGBTQ Youth Counseling Center, and QueerWise Company at Skylight Theater have partnered together to host an upcoming performance entitled “Do you know the stories?” written by AULA adjunct faculty member Ken Pienkos for World AIDS DAY. Dr. Enrique Lopez, Clinical Supervisor for Colors, will lead the after show TalkBack on December 10th.
World AIDS DAY is an international holiday celebrated December 1st dedicated to raising awareness of HIV/AIDs as well as honor those who have passed on as well as their loved ones. “We’ve crafted a powerful evening of story recognizing the history and memory of AIDS through more than three decades. The show processes intimate trauma with authenticity, audacity, and humor,” said Pienkos.
The performances will be held on December 3rd and the 10th at 8:00 pm. It is free and open to anyone who would like to attend, a suggested donation of $10 is also encouraged.
