Job Description and Minimum Qualifications: The Undergraduate Studies Division is looking for a program assistant to support our administrative staff in the day-to-day office functions of the department. The work schedule is flexible depending on availability. Because the Program Assistant will work with undergraduate student records, a graduate student is preferred. Duties include: receptionist/student service duties, maintenance of office suite (stocking supplies, decorating, contacting campus services about copier/printer issues); event planning and staffing; light bookkeeping and fiscal paperwork; maintaining “prior learning” files; updating department Google site; reserving rooms, assisting with contract mailings, and preparing materials for new student orientation. Preferred qualifications: MS Office and Google skills; strong attention to detail; basic professional writing skills; organizational ability; desire to be of service to faculty and students, including a friendly and professional demeanor; willingness to support occasional evening events; willingness to take direction and initiate new projects to support office functions. Training will be provided where needed. Candidate should be comfortable with a professional but relatively informal office environment. Further duties assigned.
