"Part of what I’m gaining from the LGBT Specialization is really learning about the different letters of the acronym as distinct entities. The lesbian and gay experiences are not the same experiences. The bisexual experience is not the same experience. And the transgender experience is definitely not the same experience! What’s really important about this Specialization is that each of those four letters — and orientations and identities beyond them — are included and valued... The LGBT experience is brought into all of the classes…I appreciate that all of my classmates are striving to be allies."
