MFA in Creative Writing '12
"When I started looking at graduate schools, I had no idea AULA had a social justice element to its MFA program. I originally researched it because of location. Once I learned about the entire program, however, I was sold. The program really solidified my belief that I was given this ability in order to enlighten and educate others. And if I don't use it for that purpose, I'm not fulfilling my responsibility as a writer... Even before attending Antioch University, I knew I wanted to do more with my writing than just entertain."
Fleur is the author of the novels “I Am Lucky Bird” and “Crumble,” which was the 2013 San Francisco Book Festival Winner for Young Adult Fiction and a Young Adult Finalist in the 2013 International Book Awards.
