"The most challenging aspect of my traineeship is getting through to adolescents who are surrounded by technology and instant gratification. You need to find ways to connect with them. A lot of techniques I use to do this I learned in the Psychology program at AULA. I’ve learned to how to build rapport and really establish a relationship with clients. I feel the relationship is the fundamental building block to effective therapy, and AULA has taught me how to make that happen... The Child Studies Specialization [has] allowed me to learn different modalities especially geared toward working with children and adolescents."
