Antioch University Midwest and Clark State Community College Sign Exclusive Degree Completion Agreement
Clark State students and alumni can complete AUM bachelor’s degree in management in Springfield
YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio —Antioch University Midwest (AUM) has signed an exclusive agreement with Clark State Community College (CSCC) that allows CSCC students and alumni to complete their AUM bachelor’s degree in management with unprecedented convenience and affordability.
Unlike other 2-year/4-year partnerships, this program allows students to complete an AUM bachelor’s degree right on the CSCC campus downtown at the Brinkman Center. The courses will be taught by AUM faculty who have extensive professional experience related to business management. The credits earned at ClarkState will seamlessly transfer to AUM and be applied toward the completion of the bachelor’s degree. CSCC students and alumni are also eligible for a discounted AUM tuition rate.
“Our goal is to make getting a marketable college degree as accessible and affordable for as many people as possible,” AUM President Ellen Wood Hall said. “Our partnership with Clark State will allow us to accomplish this and help more students aspire to and reach their academic and, ultimately, career goals.”
Students who receive a bachelor’s degree in management from AUM gain marketable knowledge and skills expected of all managers in areas such as management science, accounting, budgeting, and economics.
“This program is a win for everyone – Clark State, the Springfield community, and Antioch University Midwest,” said AUM alumnus and Board of Trustees member Plato Pavlatos.
“When businesses see opportunities for their employees to advance, that is something that resonates,” added Pavlatos who is President/CEO of C&N Contractors in Springfield, Ohio. “It really hits strong in the area of economic development and provides unique opportunities for area students.”
Courses for the program are offered year-round on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Brinkman Center, which makes them accessible for working adults. The schedule is as follows:
- Spring (January-April) *Spring 2013 starts in March
- Summer (May-July)
