June 19 Photo Exhibit and Lecture to Feature Antioch University Midwest Grad Michelle Burdine
Yellow Springs, OH, June 10, 2014 – Antioch University Midwest announces that artist Michelle Burdine will be presenting a photography exhibit and lecture on her photography and travels at the PNC Auditorium on campus on June 19, 2014. The event, titled “Interdisciplinary Studies for the Fine Arts,” will run from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the campus building at 900 Dayton Street in Yellow Springs. The event is free and open to the public.
Burdine is a 2005 graduate of Antioch University Midwest with a BA in Humanities. Burdine credits her time at Antioch as fostering a period of intellectual growth and expanded development of her humanitarianism. Following her graduation from Antioch, Burdine taught photography for Kaplan College, and earned her Masters of Humanities from Wright State University in 2013.
Burdine’s presentation includes images from her collection of work, Perspectives, and stories from her travels abroad. She will discuss how interdisciplinary studies in the humanities translated into greater depth and meaning in her photographic work.
