Healthcare in the United States is an ever evolving industry, with emerging societal trends constantly changing the landscape. This, paired with fragmented and opaque insurance systems, has created a massive demand for Healthcare Administrators who understand the nuances of the industry. This major prepares students with skills in being an effective leader and administrator in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare organizations and is built for those with an allied health background, such as nursing, respiratory care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, dental hygiene, and medical laboratory technology.

The Healthcare Administration major will be delivered as a place-based program where clear pathways will be designed from Allied Health programs at partner community college institutions creating seamless transfer from the community college setting to the major at AUM.
