O&M Faculty Speak at Conferences
Faculty from AUNE’s Department of Organization and Management (O&M) will be busy giving presentations at conferences around the country this spring. Some of their activities are:
Rich Grogan, core faculty member in O&M, will speak on “The Vanishing Wetlands of South Louisiana” at Dimensions of Political Ecology: A Conference on Nature/Society, February 18-19, in Lexington, Kentucky.
Jennifer Elder, adjunct faculty member in O&M, will give a talk titled “What Did You Think You Said? Effective Communication in Business,” at the 2011 Government and Not for Profit Conference, April 29, in College Park, Maryland. Elder will also speak at the Maryland CPA Summit, June 2-3, in Baltimore, Maryland. Her topic will be “The Sweet Spot Ã¢â‚¬ Where Business and Sustainability Overlap.”
Donna Mellen, core faculty member in O&M, will discuss “Positive Organization Business Practices and Sustainability” at the Net Impact event, March 25 at AUNE. Mellen will also attend the New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility’s 2011 Spring Conference: Integrating Corporate Social Responsibility into Your Core Business Strategy, on June 13 in Concord, New Hampshire.
Polly Chandler, chair of O&M, will speak at the Greenleaf Center Annual International Conference, June 2-4, in Dallas, Texas. Her topic will be “Servant Leadership and Facilitating Change: Transformation, Evolution and Resilience.” Chandler will also attend eLearning 2011, February 19-22, in St. Pete Beach, Florida.
