More Students Seek Green Careers, Says NYT
A career in the field of environmental sustainability appeals to many of today’s college students, according to a New York Times article, “Green Jobs Attract Graduates,” published June 24.
The number of jobs in the environmental field has roughly tripled in the last three years. That’s encouraging to students looking for a “values-driven” profession, the Times said.
“I want to do something helpful… or do something at the end of the day that’s like, ‘This makes me feel good that I spent this much time doing it,’ ” the Times quoted recent college graduate Rachael Kleinberger.
