MBA in Sustainability is Now More Accessible

The MBA in Sustainability Program at AUNE  has streamlined its structure to make it more accessible to students who want to earn their MBA degree while continuing to work.  As a hybrid program that continues to rely on dynamic student interaction, the two-year MBA in Sustainability has made several changes:

•Classes will meet five weekends (all day Saturday and Sunday) each semester; all courses have an online component in addition to class meetings. The program will continue to foster its trademark strong relationships between students and faculty, and students and their cohort.

•Class weekends will begin with a two-hour Community Meeting that provides students, faculty, alumni, and staff an opportunity to gather for guest speakers, panel discussions, and facilitated community conversations. Topics may include social entrepreneurship, careers in sustainability, sustainable food systems, and finance for socially conscious leaders.  Some sessions will be open to the greater AUNE community and the public.

•Saturday’s schedule includes meeting time for the MBA program’s Net Impact chapter, a global organization for graduate business students.

The new structure begins with the fall 2014 semester.

AUNE’s  MBA in Sustainability is distinctive in that social, environmental, and economic sustainability are addressed during the entire curriculum. Competencies in systems thinking, collaborative skills, and self-awareness are developed throughout the program.
