AUNE’s Net Impact December Clothing Drive a Great Success

Keene, NH—Antioch University New England’s Net Impact chapter, through the Management Department, donated 528 pounds of new and slightly used winter clothing to to the Keene Community Kitchen. The clothing was collected on campus from December 3 through December 14. First-year MBA student Chad Czelusniak-Serviss delivered the donations on three trips to the Kitchen. The first drop was 105 pounds, the second was 197 pounds, and the last was 226 pounds for a grand total of 528 pounds of clothing.

The Keene Community Kitchen appreciated the donations, noting that the clothes will help many local families in need. Based on the positive feedback, both the Keene Community Kitchen and AUNE’s Net Impact chapter plan to make this an annual December event.

Net Impact’s clothing drive added to AUNE’s commitment to support the community. Other efforts include fundraisers for the Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention’s Holiday Family program which helps makes the holiday happier for victims of domestic violence and their families; the year-round Perpetual Food Pledge, and the 2012 Net Impact chapter service project, an initiative to provide local food banks with a more reliable and sustainable supply of food year round.

Thank you to everyone for the support.
