Jenny Zaso, 2014 Antioch University New England (AUNE) MBA in Sustainability graduate, joined the Monadnock Conservancy in Keene as their philanthropy manager. The Monadnock Conservancy is a land trust for southwestern New Hampshire whose mission is to work with communities and landowners to conserve the natural resources, wild and working lands, rural character and scenic beauty of the Monadnock region.
In her position, Jenny focuses on building relationships with individual donors and growing overall fundraising. She also works to grow the business sponsorship program and the planned giving legacy program Monadnock Forever Society.
She has diverse professional experience in strategic planning, major fundraising, event and budget management, donor relations, and major giving strategy. Jenny has worked in the environmental non-profit sector, merchandising, buying and supply chain. She gained financial analysis skills from her experience in the fast-paced fashion industry.
As a student at AUNE, Jenny volunteered as the outreach coordinator for the sustainability and social justice committee. While on the team, she created a proposal for AUNE’s first Sustainability and Social Justice Orientation Module for all new, incoming students, and employed Community Based Social Marketing (CBSM) techniques to team initiatives aimed at promoting environmental human behavior change on the AUNE campus. CBSM was the topic of her MBA practicum project “Creating the Change You Wish to See in the World with Community Based Social Marketing.”
Jenny continues to stay connected to AUNE. In the fall 2014 semester, she spoke about CBSM in the Leadership for Change class in the Environmental Studies Department.
In March 2014 Jenny was elected to the Board of Trustees at The Community Kitchen which focuses on the strategic planning and long-term visioning process of the kitchen. Jenny will lend fundraising, financial analysis, strategic planning, and change facilitation skills to supplement skills already present on the Board.
