Dr. Torin Finser’s Latest Book, Leadership Development – Change from the Inside Out, Published by Steiner Books
Steiner Books has recently published a new book by Torin M. Finser, PhD, chair of the Education Department, called Leadership Development – Change from the Inside Out. The book is written for leaders and administrators in Waldorf schools, Camphill communities, farms, clinics, and other not-for-profit initiatives. The themes are broad—personal, interpersonal, and organizational—and intended to stimulate discussion and awareness in a way that promotes self-reflection that leads to both inner and professional growth.
“Torin Finser’s new book, Leadership Development, is a thoughtful and thorough look at the root causes and potential solutions for much that ails our Waldorf schools,” says Dave Alsop, former AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools of North America) chairperson. “The book is filled with warmth, care and sensitivity, and will become a much turned-to resource and reference. I highly recommend it for parents, teachers, administrative staff, Board members, and others who are striving to improve internal and external relationships in their community.”
On Friday, April 15 at 7 p.m., Torin will be giving a talk titled “Leadership Development” in Carbondale, CO, at the Waldorf School of the Roaring Forks.
Torin is one of the leading figures in worldwide Waldorf education and is a founding member of the Center for Anthroposophy. An educator for three decades, he has been a keynote speaker at conferences around the world. He has also served as an organizational consultant for a variety of schools. Leadership development and support is a theme that runs through many of his publications.
