Work study & Graduate Assistantships provide paid employment possibilities and is awarded to financial aid applicants with the highest level of need, who meet the priority deadline, on a first come, first served basis until the funds are depleted. FWS funds are awarded to full or half time students enrolled in eligible course credits paying full tuition and fees. Due to budget constraints, we do not award funds to students registered only for masters project/thesis continuation, dissertation, internship or candidacy continuation.
Students with Work Study/Graduate Assistantship Awards have the following options:
- Apply for a student assistant, project assistant, teaching assistant, or research assistant position on campus, or
- Apply for an on-campus practicum/internship experience, subject to availability and the approval of your academic department. You will also need to determine if your award is sufficient to fund the entire practicum. Contact the Financial Aid Office for more information
To determine eligibility:
Complete a FAFSA before the priority deadline and make certain to choose “Yes” for the Work Study question.
