Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Introductory Workshop

This one day introductory workshop is designed to introduce the therapeutic approach of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in an interactive and practical format. ACT is a method for changing behavior by increasing psychological flexibility by building larger patterns of values-based behavior. The workshop is designed to provide practitioners and individuals interested in using the ACT model specific skills they can employ immediately in their work.

Appropriate Audience

This workshop is appropriate for BCBAs, Professional Counselors, and Individuals working in applied settings with clients. This workshop is an introductory level workshop, open to individuals who are interested in expanding their clinical skill-set.

Presenter

Dr. Rachel Enoch is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and is passionate about offering evidence-based therapy to the individuals she works with. Rachel specializes in working with children and adolescents and has been an Acceptance and Commitment Therapist for the past 6 years. Rachel has worked with individuals providing ACT in classrooms, after-school programs, clinics, and has created and implemented community ACT camps for children. She has also worked as the primary BCBA at a residential eating disorder facility for adolescent females. Rachel has published literature on the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and has seen the significant impact it has on her client’s lives. Rachel is currently a professor at Antioch University New England and serves at the Program Director for the Applied Behavior Analysis Program.


Continuing Education

Behavior Analyst Certification Board – This event is offered for 6 contact hours of Type 2 CE for individuals holding the credential of BCBA or BCaBA. Please provide your certificant number at the time of registration. Participants must attend the entire event to qualify for continuing education.

When preparing to register, please have your Behavior Analyst Certification Board certificate number available. The registration form will take you to PayPal to complete your payment by credit card or PayPay account. Visa, Master Card and Discover are accepted. Be prepared to complete the registration and payment at one sitting. If you leave the form before finishing, then you will need to start over from the beginning.

Cancellations received in writing by April 6, 2018, will be eligible for a 50% refund. Please contact Shelley Viles at sviles@antioch.edu. Cancellations received after that date will not be eligible for a refund.
