MBA Community Meeting – Energy independence, regional resilience, and community supported solar: The Monadnock Sustainability Network
February 23 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
The MBA in Sustainability Community meeting on February 23 will feature the founder of the Monadnock Sustainability Network, John Kondos.
The Monadnock Sustainability Network is a 501c3 that works with Monadnock cities and towns to lower their carbon footprint and make the region “energy independent and resilient in the decades to come.” They have been especially active in solar development in the area.
John Kondos is a founder of the Monadnock Sustainability Network, Home-Efficiency Resources, and Solar Source (now part of The Melanson Company, Inc.). He started his career in the renewable energy industry in the late 1970’s at the contractor level. He went on to work at a crystalline and thin film PV manufacturer. He returned to solar in 2007 after a number of years in other industries and has installed photovoltaic systems on three continents and solar water heaters in MA, NH and VT. John has a Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA from Fairfield University. He is committed to working on solutions to our greatest challenge — climate change caused by fossil fuel combustion — through energy conservation, renewable energy and land stewardship.
You can read a recent piece John wrote that ran in the Monadnock Shopper News, “EVs a Fast way to get Clean.”
