Dr. Debora Smith
Assistant Professor, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Applied Psychology
Dr. Smith joined Antioch’s faculty in August 2017. She received her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, in May 2016 from the University of Wyoming, in Laramie, Wyoming. Dr. Smith earned her Masters Degree from Adams State University, in Alamosa, Colorado, in May 2012. Dr. Smith is currently an Assistant Professor for our Online CMHC Program and a course mentor for the Group Procedures, Human Sexuality, and Career courses. Dr. Smith is a licensed professional counselor and currently has a small clinical practice where she works with a broad range of clients and mental health concerns. She focuses on clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, sexuality, and gender concerns. Dr. Smith’s area of research includes sexuality, wellness, and shame resiliency. Dr. Smith practices yoga and enjoys hiking and cooking in her spare time.
