The mission of the Alliance for Youth Climate Leadership (AYCL) is to support the next generation of climate advocates to lead, collaborate, and innovate for a just, resilient, and thriving planet.
The Community Engagement and Events Specialist will serve as a liaison between the AYCL and its affiliated stakeholders and will help coordinate events that further the AYCL’s mission and goals. Stakeholders range from regional youth, teachers, climate activists, town organizations, non-profits, and businesses. Potential events include in school workshops, rallies, trainings, panel discussions, and multi-day summits.
- Ability to organize and mobilize parties involved with AYCL
- Some experience with event planning and coordination
- Passion for connecting with and inspiring youths / stakeholders
- Enthusiasm for empowering youths to implement solutions that help address the root causes of climate change
