The mission of the Alliance for Youth Climate Leadership (AYCL) is to support the next generation of climate advocates to lead, collaborate, and innovate for a just, resilient, and thriving planet.
Working as part of a team, the education specialist will take the lead in developing and designing engaging climate change curriculum for students ranging from middle school to undergraduate levels. The education specialist will tailor programming to specific audiences to inspire youth led action. Primary responsibilities include researching other relevant work in the field, consulting with youth and teachers about educational needs and opportunities, as well coordinating curriculum design and facilitation.
Creativity, flexibility, a passion for inspiring youth engagement in protecting the environment and the ability to work with a diversity of groups and individuals are the foundations of this position. Prior experience with curriculum design and working in youth education is a plus.
