The mission of the Alliance for Youth Climate Leadership is to support the next generation of climate advocates to lead, collaborate, and innovate for a just, resilient, and thriving planet.
The Program Manager will serve as a non-hierarchical lead facilitator providing group cohesion, overall direction, oversight, and higher-level planning (along with the Alliance’s Steering Committee) while remaining hands-on with the group’s other roles (Community Engagement/Events Specialist, Communication Specialist, and Education Specialist). Simply, the Program Manager cultivates the direction and momentum of the Alliance.
Specific duties include:
– tracking major activities and benchmarks to ensure ongoing success
– coordinating work of other team members
– facilitating overall meeting flow and, in advance, divvying up agenda items for others to facilitate
– recapping “next steps” and creating a flexible agenda for subsequent meeting at conclusion of meetings
The person that fills this role should be organized, motivated, and passionate about the group’s mission. Experience working with young people is a plus, as is experience with Google Drive.
